Weird cousins David and Benji reunite on a tour of Poland in honor of their beloved grandmother
The adventure takes a new turn when the odd couple’s old tensions resurface in the context of their family history. When Benji and David visit their grandmother’s house in Poland, it’s where Jesse Eisenberg’s real ancestors settled in the diaspora.

Before that, Jesse Eisenberg made When You’re Done Saving the World, which was interesting, but unfortunately a bit annoying
Here, Eisenberg’s direction and script for this film show that he has improved greatly, with many characters interesting and engaging, good dialogue and great performances, especially from Kieran Culkin, who steals the show throughout the film. The narrative explores family history and complicated ties as each of the themes and subject matter explorations were handled well and were entertaining, emotional and engaging to watch.
There were some soundtrack choices that felt a little out of place
It features beautiful camera work, a good soundtrack and conversations that were real, genuine and engaging. Eisenberg’s approach to chemistry, structure and pacing was good as he created a really good, engaging and personal story about family history and the true meanings of bonds and relationships.

Overall, however, Eisenberg has improved and I look forward to seeing what he can contribute today.
