Story

When an 8-year-old girl goes missing on Caddo Lake, a series of past deaths and disappearances begin to piece together, changing the history of a broken family.. There’s a scene where Anna’s mom says Marshall County and then Harrison County. Marshall is the county seat of Harrison County, Tx.. Never Change Dylan Altman, Rodney Clawson & Jake Mitchell played by Rodney Clawson.

However, the way they pull it off is pretty impressive

Once you figure out what’s going on, the story itself isn’t exactly groundbreaking. I don’t think people adequately consider the level of coordination required to apply the pace and tone of any film, especially when you have special effects and lighting depending on the time of day. The film does it all so flawlessly, creating an almost tactile momentum that carries you along. While I wasn’t surprised when it was over, not once was I looking for it or keeping it in mind until it was over.

Dylan O’Brien is outstanding

It’s usually a clear sign of storytelling prowess. The final scene felt a bit empty, but for reasons I can’t explain. Perhaps an obvious angle in a final event, Celeste’s look of knowing, would remedy this, but that’s just a stray thought, not a genuine critique. The performance was important to all involved.

I’ve seen his work before, but this one lets him shine

Lauren Ambrose also totally sold the crazy/disturbed persona and became this person. Eliza Scanlan once failed to sell me what was happening on screen. Anything showing talent like this makes it easy to lose yourself and is always appreciated. Great viewing.
