This is a stripped down Windows 10 operating system based on build 1511 – 10586 (also known as November Update or TH2). The minimum system requirements remain, as expected, the same, although this customized version of Windows should run faster than the original, due to the number of changes made as listed below. This is the second version, the version that supports 32-bit CPUs. There is also the first version, which is 64-bit on my profile. *** IMPORTANT NOTE: WHEN YOU GET TO THE “START QUICKLY” SCREEN, SELECT CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS, THEN DISABLE EVERYTHING TO GET WINDOWS WORKING *** System Requirements • Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with NX/PAE SSE2 (if it worked on Windows 8, this one will work too) • RAM: 1 GB for 64-bit (technically only 512 MB is required) • Hard Drive Space: 20 GB • Graphics Card: DirectX 9 or later Changes and Info (the big ones, anyway): – Most Metro apps removed, excluding Edge, Store, and Calculator – Most non-essential drivers removed (like graphics, printers, network) These will need to be downloaded and installed manually based on each computer’s specs – Some accessibility items removed – Speech and Cortana support removed – Windows 8 64-bit support removed -Removed Windows Media Player -Enabled Windows Photo Viewer to be used instead of the “Photos” metro app, though pictures will open in Paint first, until the user changes the default app to Windows Photo Viewer. -Disabled Hibernate -Disabled Paging File -Removed Firewall (though in some cases it may appear while using a program, and the service has not been removed as it is essential) -Haven’t removed Windows Update yet, there is no guarantee that it will work as I always disable it via services.msc (you still need to have it enabled to install Store apps,) -Store apps should work in order… -Store games no longer work (I couldn’t figure out why). Non UWP games (CS:GO for example) should still work, considering you will have your drivers updated
